        The signal box is a great piece of railway architecture that is still in use today on the Scarborough - York line. The box cannot be accessed as it is still operational with Network Rail, however you can see the signal box operative inside pulling the levers, operating the road gates and communicating with the connecting signal boxes using the block bell system.
