I am so cross that I have to give Boots 1 star, I would rather have given them 0. Went to collect a simple prescription this morning (no queries or other purchases involved) and waited for 30 minutes (!) in a queue. Lots of patients in front of me were told their medications were out of stock and to telephone the following day to check it was in. I know for a fact they never answer the phone as I have tried calling them countless times. Indeed the ringing phone was being ignored during the half hour I was there. A couple of weeks ago I had another dreadful experience here, waiting ages in a queue with a friend. Then the shutters were closed on my head 5 minutes before their lunch break My friend (who was already waiting inside) was then kicked out dead on 1pm and told to come back in an hour. I will not use them as my nominated pharmacy again!

Great advice and service from locum pharmacist Dan on taking my blood pressure. Better 'smart' meter than I have at home/ surgery!

Absolutely appalling service. Went to pick up an online medical order (no prescription, just a simple pick up), this was after receiving a text to say it was ready for collection. Arrived to find all staff leaving for lunch. Told to return in 1 hour, which was inconvenient as it was a pick up which would literally take 20 seconds.. Returned to find no one there, waited an additional 25 minutes. The queue was now building, we eventually asked the medical centre next door to help. They ascertained that the staff had returned, but were clearly hiding with the lights off and the door locked and closed. A very rude large lady appeared and said we should have knocked as per the sign (there was no sign). By this time there was a queue of 8 people all angry and waiting. I asked to pick up my package, and was informed by the large lady that this was not possible. No logical reason was given, it was a simple pick up. Eventually she got a manager (also rude), who eventualy gave me my order. I also noted that she did not request my ID, so I could have been anyone. It was quite frankly the worst service I've encountered in a long long time. Will never return and will also never use Boots online again.

Sadly I have to agree with other reviews here. The service at Boots park road is reactive as apposed to pro active. Long waits and repeat medications not available to collect.

Husband went to get some essential pills for me that the doctors had prescribed as an emergency. He was told to come back at 6 as were not ready. They shut the door in his face and said they were shut! Despicable behaviour! Considering we have diabetic patients in our household I guess they may regret their behaviour. Will not be using again!
