Placed an order for a mitre saw to click and collect on 3rd Nov.
Website stated 2 in stock at Shepton Mallet and told me to expect collection confirmation within an hour. Called the branch after nothing had come through after 2-3 hours and was told by "Dave" that they didn't hold the item in stock at the branch but assured me that it was available and that someone would be collect it the following day and call when it was ready to collect.
After 6 days with no update I called again only to be told that the item was out of stock and that my order would have to be refunded which was "all they could do".
Don't think a refund really makes amends for publishing incorrect stock levels, lying to your customers and wasting a week of their time on a project with no proactive communication on the side of TP.
Had I been notified of the stock issue when I first called I probably wouldn't have minded. Think the management of customer service at this branch needs some attention from the higher ups.
