Currently staying at this hotel. Facilities are amazing but WOW customer service is horrific. This is the 4th time in a year we have stayed at a different Holiday inn and the service here is not at all up to standard. The reception is super rude; bookings are unorganised and they don't know what you booked and you have to search through your phone to prove to them you booked dinner and breakfast included, reception never answers the phone; you are made to feel super guilty when going down to order food as the staff seem irritated and are super abrupt. The only exception is the breakfast staff and the staff at the pool who were super friendly and what you are used to from a Holiday Inn. The rest though ... I honestly can't imagine why someone who is so rude and clearly dislikes people would be put in reception - the one lady there is shocking. I would advise you to take a Lesson from the Holiday Inn Birmingham - next time I would rather drive further to go there again and feel welcome and like I am at home. Super uncomfortable feeling at this hotel when needing to interact with reception.

The staff were the worst part of my experience, I have visited many hotels, but I must say the staff here were the worst I have experienced. Not welcoming, not polite, you feel like youre wasting their time or bothering them. The lady at the reception on 29th April 23 around 9:45pm, no hello, no smile. The least welcoming person to be placed on the reception desk. she would greet and chat to other guests behind and around us, and would not even give us eye contact. The bar staff as well, the team needs a refresher course on hospitality. other than that, everything else was okay. Rooms: The rooms were okay, but definitely need to switch to more energy efficient solutions, the lights are not automated. When we got into the room the lights were on, this was at 10pm. I can imagine the probably have been on since around 12pm
