This may be a very late review. However, i have never forgotten my experience with JD car Sales. As a first time buyer of a vehicle at the age of 20, I had no idea what to look out for when buying a car. I saw a VW Polo 56 plate posted on auto trader and after asking a few friends they advised that even though the car is slightly pricey, it will be a great reliable car. When I went to see the vehicle, the car looked to be in good condition on the outside and the salesmen were really friendly. It is almost impossible to tell if the car had any issues internally. However, When we did ask the representative Lee if there were ever any issues, he mentioned that the car has never had any issues whatsoever and is working perfectly fine. I was really excited about having the polo as my first car so I purchased it. After 3 weeks of having the vehicle, the car started to over heat. I thought this was normal. However, after speaking to a few work colleagues they mentioned that there is something wrong and it should be checked out immediately. I took it to a local garage who said the head gasket is going and the engine will collapse anytime soon. I was in utter shock as I had paid a high price for the vehicle and did not want to have to pay additional for the repairs. Even though a few garages had told me the same thing i was still hoping for a fix that would not cost me so much. I took it to a few other garages and unfortunately, I ended up going to a dodgy garage who said it was only a radiator fault. I was so happy when he me told me it was an "easy fix" as i thought the issue will finally be resolved. After paying him 250 thinking the issue will go away, it worsened. I tried everything in my control to have it repaired without having to pay crazy amount of money. For a good few months no matter how long I drove for whether it was 5 minutes or an hour the engine would over heat and the coolant would leak everywhere. I tried using different products from Halfords. Unfortunately, nothing worked. When I contacted JD sales they were very quick to dismiss the fact that the issue had started after a few weeks of purchasing the vehicle. They blamed it on the fact that because I had changed the radiator rand that is what caused the engine and gasket to collapse. I ended up paying just under a grand to have a new engine put in as I wanted this nightmare to be over. I probably spent about 700 before that trying other ways to have it repaired over the course of a few months. JD Car sales did not accept fault. I really hope no one has to go through this experience as it had caused me so much grief and made me out of pocket for a while! Jan 23rd, 2022

Lee and Ralph were so very helpful when we were looking to buy our first Fiat 500. Very genuine, knowledgable, friendly guys with no hint of pushiness at all. We spent about an hour there going through everything Fiat and found a car that was perfect for us. We were so impressed with this place, including the fact that they have a lot of land that you can test drive the cars on rather than pulling straight out of a garage onto a high road. Very shortly after having our car we decided that my wife would get one from there too. Hers is a beautiful yellow colour therapy. We are so happy with our cars and overall experience from them but if I had to mention one negative - it would be that they didn't have any sugar there when we were offered a cup of tea. Nearly ruined the deal for us. If anyone is thinking of using these guys, you really will be very safe hands. Apr 14th, 2023
