After a lovely older guy coming out to do the initial measure up and hearing stories of how he used to own the business, sold it then went back as an employee or something, everything seemed to be on track and doing well. The install day was arranged in good time and went ahead. It took nearly a full day just to install an outhouse window and one composite front door. I should have been suspicious then really. The window has been fine but the door has been nothing but trouble. As soon as warmer weather arrived after install, the door wouldn't lock. Closing it was a nightmare. Got in touch with them and it was like pulling teeth getting them to rectify it. I've had the supposed manufacturers out to see it. They always send someone when it's not warm though, so I had to resort to filming the issues just to prove I wasn't making it up as their attitude wasn't always to the best with me! They eventually agreed to replace the door (but didn't remeasure) and install a better quality letterbox as the original one went bad. They replaced the whole door set as the render around the frame had broken off too. The second door is just as bad and it's stated falling to bits, which shows its poor quality. Door handle coating wearing off. Weather board edging easily knocked off. Door doesn't lock in warm weather. In hot weather the door barely closes let alone locks. Render around the frame and house is breaking away again. Door scratched at the slightest touch. I've given up trying to get sense out of the company and just putting up with the poor install. After almost 3 years, it's more than frustrating. I've tried telling them that if 2 doors are doing the same thing and clearly swelling in the heat, then it needs remeasuring and a new one manufacturing. All to no avail!
