Nam Song Sharrow Vale

The food was lovely, me and my friend both had the chicken pho. I would recommend booking, I noticed that the restaurant was nearly empty and they were turning people away due to bookings. However I felt that was a little dramatic, because we finished in 30 minutes as everything was served quickly (however we never for one minute felt rushed). The ambience has beautiful and Dyson square in general is a really lovely place. I would go again.

Selling a lie (5star reviews must be fake) I dont know what sort of scam this person is trying to sell. But this is nothing like vn food. I worked for plan international in poverty stricken vn for almost 20 years. I always try to see the positive in peoples efforts but when someone is pulling the wool over peoples eyes I cant be quiet. They are steeling money! The restaurant is in a good location with cheap Chinese decorations. The cook must be an Indian who went on holiday to vn once and saw a business opportunity! Maybe took a 1 day cooking class in Hoi An! The photos littering the walls of holidays in vn to sell the lie and help persuade people ( who have never been) its authentic Vietnamese food. The worse is the charity box painted orange on the counter that has been tampered with and opened, do not give them money, I doubt any of it gets to orange suffers. The food is terrible! Pho without flavour and the wrong noodles! No flavour or fragrance. The summer rolls a complete disaster, cant even roll them correctly. No sauce the is actually Vn sauce. Terrible! The ca ry is mistranslated to curry, which is not literally a curry its a vn dish! Its a south coconut chicken dish which he has miss-understood and made it a curry, basically all lies. This is NOT Vietnamese food, please dont fall for it. The prices are extortionate for the poor effort! And the banh mi (sandwich) again just guess work from the cook hoping that non of his customers have an idea of what a banh mi is! DO NOT support this restaurant in it charity claims and fall for the terrible food. Seriously guys? How can you have the cheek to pass this off a vn food? Its just unbelievable! The service was rude and again no idea of what vn food is! I honestly feel sick looking at the lies. Nice website and location, its the lies and the cheek that has made me feel the need to write here.

Ok, this is my honest review. Food was really good, service was attentive and quick. The experience was tanished by a couple or points. I was disappointed that a gratuity was automatically added to the bill. Although I would have given a tip I don't believe this should be a given. Service needs to be earned not automatically added. There was no obvious sign this was the case until we paid. Secondly we were asked if we would like pok choi in our dish but not told there was an additional charge for this. Again I don't mind paying extra for this but I don't like being up sold without being informed. It annoying because the food was great but doubt I'll go again.

Really nice staff & delicious vegan tofu bun. I would have liked more noodles with it, but the location is also lovely, so we had a very nice experience.
