Very poor quality steel. I rarely do any gardening but wanted a spade that would last a lifetime. After a couple of years the steel is rusting and splitting. If this is Sheffield's finest steel then they should hang their heads in shame. Update! I took the spade back to the garden centre and they replaced it free of charge. They said the steel was poor quality but the new spades shouldn't break as they've got a new supplier. Apparently, they don't make steel in Sheffield anymore as it all comes from China now!
