Multiple other companies came and wouldnt take the job since July. Dan and Dean did a cracking job under less than ideal circumstances. Much appreciated and fast. Now mother in law doesnt have a freezing house in the winter.

Thanks to everyone at 1st call for coming and diagnosing the problems with our boiler. Had them recommended by a different plumber and couldn't fault their service, advice and quote.

Had a gas fire removed, my gas boiler serviced, 2 small parts fitted and 4 of my radiators filled after they had been taken off the walls for decorating. Work was done over 2 visits and both engineers were courteous, friendly and respectful of my home. Office staff were informed and helpful. However, I was really not happy with the pricing structure. I was quoted a price for the work which was reasonable compared to other companies I had contacted but after the jobs had commenced I was told I needed to pay by the hour for the work. The boiler needed 2 small, cheap (15 total) parts which the engineer didnt have so I had to pay for another 2 hours of labour for this and a recheck of everything the first engineer did. When the radiators were checked (another hour of labour) the engineer found there was small, cheap part missing from 1 radiator (he told me it should cost 1) however again he didnt have the part on him so to resolve this problem I would have to have a third visit and pay for at least another hour of labour (50 minimum). I cant afford this so Im going to try myself but it was very disappointing when you were quoted a fair price originally and ended up spending considerably more than this in the end. Work and customer service good but be prepared to pay much more than youre quoted.
