We used Sheffield Roofing Company in October 2022. Having put off the idea of repairing the roof on our 1930's semi-detached house for far too long. I recently retired so finally decided to get something done and responded to an advertisement postcard that Pat's team posted. I also contacted two other companies for quotes. Pat responded very quickly to this enquiry (within a day) and his team did an inspection of roof and took close up photographs. As we had feared the roof was not in a good state particularly the ridge tiles. We were also concerned about the amount of heat we were potentially losing through the poorly fitting tiles. Pat was very good in spending time with us to discuss the options but we had already decided that a complete replacement of the roof and an old large velux window was required to provide security against the stormy weather and rain. The team started the work the following week. Pat's team were very organised, with the scaffolding being put up around the house on day one, and the next day the old roofing tiles and membrane were removed and the new tiling work starting on the third day. It was necessary for some additional repair work to the roof structure and repointing of the chimney. All of the work was completed within the week and the waste material and scaffolding removed. Pat's team are very friendly and helpful and they worked incredibly hard to complete the job. Throughout Pat kept us up to date on progress and explained what would be happening next. We are very pleased with the roof, and finally we can sleep well on stormy nights without the fear of the old tiles falling or water pouring into the house. The cost of this work was more that I could have paid based on the other quotes I received but these other companies could not provide me with a definite date for starting the work or seemed interested in calling us back to discuss the work. Pat's team were responsive, efficient, there was good communication and the work was completed before the windy wet nights of November started. We are happy to recommend Sheffield Roofing Company Ltd. We are currently having wall insulation rendering fitted with more scaffolding in place, but when this is completed I will update this post with some photographs of the new roof.
