The Journey Centre

My first time using the journey centre since they moved and it was not a great experience. I have used the journey centre in Rotherham for many years and the service was amazing. When i called in recently the staff looked lost, the old experienced service certainly wasn't on show today. I phoned earlier in the week to check if a replacement part was in stock. Told the staff member I would call in before the end of the week. Drove an hour round trip 2 to the store. The staff member bumbled around looking for the part for a least 10 minutes. Tried to sell me the incorrect part, then told me the part I ordered had been sold. It was the same member of staff I spoke too earlier in the week. When I said I told you I would call in, the response was "well you didn't pay for it over the phone" that is because I wasnt asked too. I can get the part the same price online with free delivery. Due to previous great service I chose to buy it here instead. Sorry guys, I know it was only a cheap item but with your store presence and very poor service today, after many years of service, I don't think I will be back.

I had excellent service from Simon today. Phoned ahead with my query and when I arrived all the correct parts were waiting for me. No fitting service on a Saturday but He took apart a demo model and showed me where in the instructions I might encounter issues. Fitted myself when I got home- easy. Even though its a two hour round trip for me I will visit again.

Having purchased a Thule Roof-box and wing bar system for my car 4 years ago and been delighted with the products and service I called in today to see what was needed for our new car. Unfortunately all new bars and fittings were needed but were in stock and we we able to walk away with them that day. When enquiring about fitting costs I was told the new Thule bars were dead easy to fit and was given a demonstration. Went home and within 30 minutes had them assembled and on the roof. Great friendly local service at a competitive price. If you are looking for roof bars or a roof box dont look beyond Thule and the Journey Centre.

Great place for all sort of roof bars, racks, roof boxes, tow ball racks, and wheel locks also. Their main brand is Thule. They also sell goods trailers. The staff are so helpful and kind, patient and willing to explain in detail all the tiny differences between each item. Great place, great service.
