Butcher & Catch

I was so ready to love Butcher & Catch because of the great reviews but left really disappointed. It took 45 minutes to bring us our two medium rare steaks, one of which was raw and the other was well done but they took so long to come we just ate them. Overall it took us 2 hours to get 2 courses on a Sunday night with a very empty restaurant. Food was very average, high prices did not reflect the quality of the meal at all and the service was pretty slow. I hate when you have to go to the bar to pay because you cant find your waiter. Sorry Butcher and Catch but wouldnt go again :/ (also not the staffs fault but an open kitchen does not work when the chef is shouting orders at the cooks for the whole restaurant to hear, kind of ruins the atmosphere)

Very very nice food. Had my stag do meal everyone was happy with the food and the price Ellie was very friendly and made us feel welcome

Great restaurant. Great chefs. Great staff. Ellie was fantastic, really enthusiastic and friendly. Had the obligatory white bait nibbles. Scotch egg and cod cheek starters, OMG . For mains succulent pork belly and a sweet chicken burger. Wish i had two stomachs to fit more in. Wide selection of beers, wines and Loxley Gin. Never fail to impress.
