    Very poor customer service and good luck claiming anything from them as they will wriggle out of it. We purchased GAP insurance for my partner's new Abarth 595 last September. When it was stolen from our house 3 months later (house broken into for the keys while we were in bed) we decided not to replace it new for old as the car was an obvious target. Tobell declined to pay out the difference between the insurance payout and the invoice price and said they would only pay out the excess. After speaking to 2 different "customer service" staff and being given different information about what we could claim we were told to fill out a lengthy claim form. They then declined to even contribute the 250 towards the excess stating that they don't cover if you decline a new for old offer from the insurer. Complete waste of time and money and we will take this to the ombudsman... UPDATE - After threatening with taking to the ombudsman Tobell offered to pay the 250 excess contribution. I add one star to my review.

    tobellautomotive.co.uk makes it as hard as possible to claim back your money. tobellautomotive.co.uk seem to be very inconsistent with there negotiation on repairing the car they insure under there warranty, I was informed by the garage that Autoassure.co.uk would pay for the replacement part on the car, but not for some of the installation on the part being replaced, which left me to pay 50% of the invoice, I had to pay the invoice in full, and on top of that, when you do make a claim you have to send in the original invoice back to the company by post to to receive your refund, they will not allow you to send a copy of the invoice by email? This is clearly a stall tactic to make payments to customers. To make things worse, tobellautomotive.co.uk agreed and issued the work to be done on the car, so they have full detail on the repair carried out, and how much it cost to fix the car in the first place. Would not use this company again.
