Pros: - Good location - Cheap - Nice cafe / bar area - Air con - Quiet Cons: - Room was not very clean - floor in particular was filthy - Shampoo/Shower gel hadn't been refilled - No hair dryer. You have to ask at reception but there were none left when I asked. I know it's a budget hotel but this is a very basic need.

A step up from the usual Ibis Budgets I have stayed in; the room are very compact, with a double bed pushed against a wall (although it can be moved out a little for access), no storage other than a hanging rail and narrow shelf, a small stool and a small table. Surprisingly there is a kettle with cups and limited supply of sachets of coffee, teabags etc. There is a separate shower/WC which is nicely decorated, plenty of hot water and a good shower. Only one hook for towels (and only bath towels are provided, no hand towels). Downstairs there is a small seating/bar area which is pleasant enough - food is also served. We didn't have breakfast, but others in our party did - a simple continental breakfast, although some cooked items are advertised. A short walk to the pedestrianised shopping area, and about 15-20 minutes' unattractive walk along traffic-heavy roads from the station. Buses stop nearby. Walking distance (15 mins) to Sheffield University Students' Union. A Waitrose is across the road.
