Grenoside Reading Room

We visited today Mon 9jan at about 1.20. although the sign was still outside and the door open, we were told on entering that they were finished for the day. We were so looking forward to a cuppa and a cake after our long walk. It was disappointing. They did offer a take out cake, which I wish we had accepted but as we wanted a drink too we declined. I think it would be good to change the time on the internet and also bring in the sign and lock the door in preparation for closing. Hopefully we can try it another time.

Wonderful multi-purpose space with an interesting history, run by fabulous volunteers. The soup and cakes available are amazing. I had Leek and Potato Soup followed by Courgette and Lime Cake.. heavenly!

It's good to be back in the Reading Room l'm doing a development course with just six people sticking to covid rules.l've missed my Spiritual circle desperately and l'm so looking forward to it reopening when restrictions allow.
