The scheme is fantastic and so are the volunteers that help run it. I've been a patron box holder for 3 plus years and have seen food works progress over this time. It's great to see and the volunteers are always so lovely.

I like going to Food works as its has helped me with my weekly shopping in the past few years.. Some days you can get really good quality and value for money food items. Some days you might get around 8 items in your basket. In the past 2 weeks they have now put a new system in place, which means you have to spend at least 4-7.. which is not a lot of money.. But before this new system you could put into the till 1+ whatever you can afford which was a much better system, when you think about all the food they are getting which would have been thrown away, why are we now paying much more.. there is nothing free in the basket if you get there late.. To make it worthwhile you need to get there by 11 am, which there might be a very long queue but you stand a chance to get some decent food items.. Am still grateful and happy to know this place exists.. There are some brilliant staff and some not so friendly.. Keep up the good work and thanks again.
