DON'T USE THIS PERSON FOR ANYTHING! The initial 5* reviews are probably her personal friends or family. My niece took her Bridal dress in for alterations and paid a 90 deposit. She was put off week after week until she asked to pick the dress up. The dress was butchered and had to be revived by a 'professional dress-maker' at a much greater cost. Looking at other later reviews, they seems more realistic. This woman is making money fraudulently and ruining peoples special day. Service: Bridal & bridesmaids

Absolutely fantastic service from Julia. After my place of work decided to dish out a new one size fits all uniform, I contacted Julia to alter said shirts. Within a week I had all my shirts altered exactly how I said for a very reasonable price. Since my first visit, Ive been back numerous times and recommended other colleges to make a visit, who also have nothing but good things to say about the service they received. Please dont dont be put off by some of the negative reviews as Ive had nothing but a professional and welcoming service from Julia.

I paid Julia to give my daughter sewing lessons. Then the lockdown happened, I spoke with Julia and we agreed to wait. O contacted Julia again more recently, but they just couldn't get together because of Julia's hours and my daughter's work. Do we agreed this want going to happen, I asked for a 50% refund, as Julia had tried. She agreed this but since then, I have chased and chased her for the money. She ignores my messages, she promised to pay me a few weeks ago but didn't, then she promised the money would be in my account last week and it wasn't. Totally unprofessional. I contacted Julia in April after reading google reviews (they must have been fake reviews and she has also used photographs from other websites etc. Beware - they are NOT dresses that she has personally made!). I needed a mother-of-the-bride dress for my daughters wedding and also alterations to a bridal dress and bridesmaid dresses. Communication was very slow and inconsistent to say the least. We eventually all went to see her in June to drop off all the dresses and fabrics, to discuss all the alterations and give measurements. We gave her a sketch and clear instructions what was required. Weeks passed by and I ended up contacting her mid July to see if they were finished. I dont even think they had been started! I only had one fitting which was a disaster as she had made it too small and had to sew in panels either side. She kept getting me mixed up with other customers which was very alarming. I went to pick up all the dresses 5 days before the wedding. The finish of all the dresses was shocking. My dress had no shape whatsoever. The hem and sleeves were not finished off as Id requested. The detail buttons down the back werent even straight. The supposedly concealed zip was exposed in places and a different shade to the dress plus many many other faults with the dress. I sat with her over two hours waiting for her to finish my dress as I couldnt waste any more time going back to her house. The two bridesmaid dresses had been shortened but hadnt been re-pleated so the hem was all curly and the bridal belts werent even sewn on properly. She had also sewn the belts half way round the back and not to the sides as we had asked her. The bridal dress had been shortened but she had literally cut a raw edge ALL the way round when in fact it was only the front that needed shortening and NOT the train. This took off all the lace detail and ruined the dress. The new sleeves she made didnt even have an identical pattern match. My daughter was distraught. The quote for making my dress with me providing the fabrics was 130/145 but she charged me 197.50. Bridesmaid and bridal dress alterations were 177.50. She wanted cash deposits and cash for the balance. Very expensive for the quality and service we received. I had to go out the following day - four days before the wedding and buy another dress as this one was so hideous. I emailed Julia my concerns after the wedding. There was no apology or explanation or any reimbursement of money. She replied 12 days after the actual wedding to say all the edits can be done please let me know when this can be done ?? Wed already had the wedding so why would we need them doing after the event. Please dont be fooled by this ladys capabilities. Services: Fitting & custom tailoring, Alterations, Bridal & bridesmaids

Disgraceful! She had my wedding dress a month and ignored my calls and texts! When she eventually messaged back she said another week and arranged for a day and time for me to come and see what she had done well I got to her house which stunk of cannabis and she hadnt done anything to it! Asked me to come back a few days later but I was Fuming and demanded my dress back! I followed her into the house where I found she had been smoking when other peoples dresses were all laid out on her kitchen table she proceeded to get my dress which was on the back of her toilet door well honestly I would not recommend her at all! Shes a fraud takes peoples money and precious items and smokes all over them! Its awful Iv since found out she isnt a registered business I doubt she even declares all the money she takes from her poor customers!
