I find myself having to re-review my score of one star, for since posting that review, this practise as risen like a phoenix from the ashes and totally transformed itself into a very good doctors. Yes I know some of you will not agree with my new appraisal of Rawmarsh Health Centre, but speaking on a purely personal level, the practice is truly transformed and I can now highly recommend Dr Chandran and his team of professional staff. Although Ive taken a star off because the practice manager is another case altogether, she is a harridan of the highest proportions and therefore loses a star.

The receptionist gave test results as being all clear, turns out they hadn't even done the tests, what did they do, bin the samples I gave? A couple of the receptionists are great, one however has a really bad attitude and is as unhelpful as she can be. Often you call up and there are no doctors in at all. There is no accountability in this surgery, depending on who you get to treat you will depend who cares or not, there is no guarantee of quality of care.

Receptionist just allowed the phone to ring and not answer, I rang bang on 8am and was third in the queue and by the time they decided to answer my call there was no appointments left. Took over 30 minutes to answer and once again, I was THIRD in the queue.

Avoid this place!! Never been the same since the late Dr Thackker left, it goes from bad to worse. You never can get an appointment unless you are willing to wait for 2 week yet, the waiting room can be seen from the main road and nobody is ever sat in there. Currently suffering from an hernia, in pain called up after 9am only to be told "next available appointment is next week", surprise surprise(!) but call in the morning and see if we can get you same day, only to travel to another surgery. The other surgery said that I would need a scan to see whats causing the pain as the hernia not severe, then I get a call from own surgery stating that i don't need a scan and that if I'm in pain I need to book an appointment? So basically going around in circles....what a joke! Will be changing surgeries as a result of this.

Went at 8.20 to make an emergency appointment with the nurse after ringing 111 at weekend to be told by a very rude receptionist that I should have either rung first of gone after 9am as she was on her own and answering the phone came first. Having worked myself as a Dr's receptionist, it costs nothing to be pleasant to people. Bring back Bevshe was lovely
