Handsworth Dental Care

I have had a life-long fear of going to the Dentist and attended my first appointment at Handsworth Dental Practice with great uncertainty. I was put at ease straight away by the receptionists who assured me that everything would be Ok. I was given a very thorough examination by Caroline and her Dental Nurse both of whom listened to my concerns and put my mind at rest. Caroline recommended a series of treatments which she carried out throughout November and December. On the 4th January I was given my dentures which fit perfectly and look great. Big thanks to Caroline and her Dental Nurse for looking after me in a caring, efficient and professional way. Lynda Lowden

Had a filling done, was done so badly it crumbled the first time. I then had to rebook and specifically asked for somebody different I was then promised somebody different more experience a male dentist who then cancelled and I got the same lady again, again the filling crumbled she topped it up more assuming this would resolve the issue and I had no choice one I was inside the room and surprisingly saw I was with her again but to allow her to do it again. No surprise the filling has now crumbled again causing me incredible sensitivity and discomfort however the clinic are fine ringing me to say my checkup is due but are refusing to just provide me with a straight appointment for a filling which I think is absolutely disgusting therefore I am now going to have to get this privately done and am incredibly disappointed with the service here.

DENTIST ! this word ,used to raise my blood pressure, and increase my fear threshold, Not any more, now ,I am a "Happy to be here "patient .because of Jason Dean , dentist extraordinaire,and his "you will be fine "attitude .who has returned my heart rate and blood pressure , back to normal, with his laid back approach to doing the necessary , needed work . It is now a comfortable event ,from Sarah, who is a cool cookie who does amazing things with the appointment book. Both receptionists smile and make you feel welcome. It'a lovely place ,with lovely people whose main aim ,is with making happy ,relaxed patients, who need to be repaired with kindness . Must mention Jubilee.a very dedicated, and care aware dentist .who "finished me off ",to perfection . I had to give her a virtual hug ,and also one for her Tooth maiden .

Lack of care. I was rushed for a filling by an Asian dentist called Sue so she could make it for her lunch. She failed to give me a numbing shot and once she was done she literally couldnt wait to get rid of me. A clear lack of customer care!

Sam is the best hygienist I have seen, hence my 5 stars, she is excellent at her job, puts you at ease and does a really good clean. Wouldnt hesitate to recommend her. Saddened to see some really good dentists from this practice move on, Ive got friends and family who have used this dental practice for years but unfortunately their recent experiences with the new dentists at the practice dont fill me with confidence. Such a shame for what has always been a great practice previously giving excellent dental care.
