Richard initially surveyed our property on behalf of the people buying our house. I was extremely impressed with how detailed and thorough his survey was and subsequently engaged him to survey the house we are buying. He separated the 2 processed very professionally and appropriately. He took great care to pay particular attention to some structural concerns we had with our purchase. His report was provided quickly, it was thorough and detailed and gave us (laymen!) a clear narrative of the state of the property. I would sum Richard up as a safe pair of hands and thoroughly nice man to work with, I'd recommend him completely. Thank you again Richard.

Having engaged the services of Mr Buddery today I must commend his professional and friendly approach. He surveyed a house I am intending to purchase and I found his expertise and knowledge of every aspect of the extensions that have been built previously and every detail of his survey of the original structure second to none. Also the cost was very reasonable. Very helpful and informative.Highly recommended.

Please do not use this surveyor, we currently have a legal claim against him, he has let us down terribly, we relied on his professional experience, paid for a full survey, we brought a 1960's bungalow, we did not know at the time before purchase but now after purchase we find out through a builder that asbestos is in the property, clearly visible, on the soffits right by the front door..Richard failed to pick this up, and put in this report soffits with new PVC plastic, with is incorrect, nothing about asbestos in his report and when I asked him if there was asbestos in the property he assured me no asbestos, as I result my husband has been exposed to Brown Asbestos. He's buried his head in the sand in helping me deal with the compaint, he is not complying with his complaints procedure, which has a name on it that the person knows nothing about. His PI company were extremely rude to me. I do not want anyone to go through what we have as a result of his negligence. Richard I see you have made a reply to this review which is incorrect! You were fully aware of our intentions to renovate this property, I did specifically ask you before the survey to check for asbestos and in an email later queried this as there was nothing in your report whether there was any signs of asbestos and you assured me there wasn't. The soffits in question are clearly visible. Anyone that has had asbestos training/awareness would have seen this.. You said yourself you checked the soffits at the back but not at the front and you missed this.. You say you have 40 years of experience in the industry? Surely you know what could be asbestos or at the very least make your clients aware that a 1960's bungalow could contain asbestos, and yes you did come round and see me after the I raised a complain but said nothing and have said nothing since, your PI insurance have not been forthcoming and you do in fact have a complaints procedure that is wrong, which I understand the RICS have asked you to change! So please lets get the facts straight.
