I'm a gardening enthusiast and became a member of Plant Heritage via their website. I have an interest in plant conservation and as a member you can meet other members locally and attend events for free (unless stated). There are various plant sales, visits and you receive the National Plant Collections Directory annually. Highly recommended and great charity.

Plant Heritage is a relatively small charity which brings together people with a wide range of horticultural abilities & knowledge. It is based on a County/Area structure and local groups organise talks, events & plant fairs - looking for interesting, rare and unusual plants (and speakers!). The jewel in the crown is the National Collection system which is administered by Plant Heritage but actually run by individual plant specialists, colleges, other conservation organisations (such as NT) and nurseries. Members can obtain access to many events and talks free of charge or at a special discount. I joined ten years ago and have enjoyed everything that I have done, picking up lots of worthwhile knowledge and meeting some very talented people. We are not all experts or 'plant geeks' and have lots of fun.
