        My father and I visited Wroxeter Roman Vineyard last summer and did the tour and tasting. We had a lovely time! The owner chap (forget his name!) was a wonderful guide. His enthusiasm for his vocation was contagious. Viticulture is fascinating on its own, but he made it even more so. I am no expert on wine, but the ones we tasted were mostly excellent. Not all were to my taste, but that's to be expected. We purchased a bottle to bring back to the States as a gift. The only reason I have taken off a star is because the tour was a bit on the long side. The owner/guide kept it interesting for the most part, but it was a lot of information to take in and after a bit I was eager to finally sip some wine. The tour could be trimmed by about thirty minutes, I think. We began the day visiting the Roman ruins just up the road, and this visit to the vineyard "paired" nicely with that. I can certainly recommend this place. Folks should be prepared for the tour and tasting to take up the whole rest of their afternoon, though. Still, give it a go.
