We have just finished our Grand Tour of North Indian and I had to write to say how impressed I was with the whole tour. I need to say to say special thanks to our tour guide Amit as he has made the whole trip for us. Simply can't do enough to help you, he has explained about each location and it's history which has left a long lasting impression on us, We hope to see both Amit and India very soon.

Have used Mercury on several occasions and all but the last holiday were great but I have to say our last booking was truly an awful experience. We initially booked our holiday in Jan 2020 then had to move it twice. Mercury were very helpful on both occasions. Our last change was Jan 2022 for a booking moved to April 2023 which would include 30th wedding Anniversary celebrations. We paid in full in Jan 2023 and I contacted them for a reference so I could book extra legroom seats with the airline. I was told couldnt give it me as was a Block booking as we had booked a tour. I asked for ticket numbers which are individually issued to all passengers they again said no. 4 weeks after paying in full and 7 weeks before we were due to fly ( 2nd April ) we were sent an email to say our holiday had been changed. Not only had the air carrier Vietnam Airways to Bamboo Airways changed but so had the airport Heathrow or Gatwick the date was brought forward by a week!!! and the length of our holiday. All Mercury said was if your not happy you can have a refund. This was a holiday that had been planned and booked for 3 years. We had problems at the airports on internal flights it was really difficult to check in without any references. We were left in limbo on the last day when we had to go back to Saigon for an extra day and then they didnt even contact us to tell us our flight home had changed once again. Totally unacceptable. Each time I spoke with customer services they said they would find answers for me and call back. Guess what they never did. Blamed it all on the aviation team who incidentally dont speak to customers!!!

Lots of good things but some down sides also. Hotels were good but could have been better.

We recently had our second escorted tour with mercury 'highlights of cambodia' with extension. Tour went everywhere we wanted to see. Hotels were of good quality, tour guides were 'ok' on the main tour. Fab in siem reap. Our hotel in seam reap for extension was fabulous . And we were so pleased we did this. Only downside was the traveling. From Heathrow to Vietnam, ok. Unfortunately we had a 3 HR stopover before our next flight, which was hard when your tired. Wish they had flights from Manchester, would be so much easier for us. We are now looking at booking for south afica. Our previous tour was captivating Costa Rica, which was amazing!
