I went on line this morning for an appointment for an eye test with Boots Opticians and was able to get one within an hour. The staff were both very professional and friendly. I had the regular eye tests follow by more tests with the Optometrist. It was discovered that I had a macular hole behind my eyes and the Optometrist said she would refer me to my GP. A few hours later, a private eye specialist contacted me and subsequently arranged an appointment for me to see them tomorrow! (The Boots Optometrist had fast tracked me for an appointment via Maidstone hospital.) 1. Boots. Thank you so very much for such a speedy and efficient service. 2. NHS. Ditto!!

Had very bad experience in this place- I went there with my little chihuahua to pick up the second pair of glasses. I stood outside door looking for "dogs are not allowed" signs and there were none. So i picked my dog up and walked in. I was met with horror on staff's faces pointing me at the door and saying that the dogs are not allowed? I suggested I put her into my coat or a bag as I only need to collect the 2nd pair of glasses, but they wouldn't budge. I had to leave my dog in the car (which I never do usually) and come back. It took less time to collect the glasses than to reason with them! To be a successful business, you should use your common sense (no sign on the door, my second pair of first prescription glasses, I had no experience of visiting optitians before, this was a glasses shop area!) to give your customers a good experience and good memories, and was left with bad taste in my mouth. This really spoilt my day and I will now never return there again.

We had a terrible experience with Boots opticians in Sevenoaks. We ordered some glasses (designer so not cheap) and were told that the frames would be brand new. After checking a number of times and being assured that they were not the ones used in the shop to try on, we later discovered they had lied and they were going to use the shop ones but still charge us full price. Needless to say we cancelled the order. Would not go there again.
