Barchester - Emily Jackson House Care Home

My Mum has been at Emily Jackson House for 3 months. I am really happy with the care my Mum is receiving. The home is so very clean and the meals are very good. I would like to especially thank Chloe for taking good care of my Mum and Michael who was so kind and caring towards my Mum when she was feeling very confused. I over heard his conversation with my Mum ( he didnt know I could hear him) and he was so lovely so thank you to Michael.

The standards have changed a lot at this home. This used to be a very clean home. Now it stinks everywhere. Ive seen staff turning cushions over that have been urinated on, allowing residents to sit on the opposite side. Residents with food on their clothes were being ignored. In the last few weeks Ive seen staff shouting at residents. Despite acknowledgment from the managing team, there were instances where the home was left without a nurse present. Apparently the regional director was fully aware of this regular occurrence. Staff were hardly seen as they were out, constantly smoking. The manager was hardly ever seen in the home. What a shame!
