Really appalling customer experience which I have not had in the past from British BookShops & Stationers. Went in to buy a decent fountain pen; no one in store to advise. Found one and went to pay for it. Only one check out manned by a zombie. Self-checkouts were not working so joined the queue. After 15 minutes got to pay. No recognition that I had been waiting for some time not even a surly hello. Paid and had to ask for a receipt. The pen I had bought had a security tag, so I tried it against the security check on the door and it alarmed. Pointed this out to the store colleague who in a dream scanned my pen. Wont shop there again!
