Nice stay, but keep your expectations low. The cottage is situated in a good place in Settle and you can expect it to be quiet. With that said, for a place that has the self catering option on site, I would expect to see some very basic products like salt and pepper, oil and some other essentials. We only had seen milk in the fridge (and tea bags with sugar). Also, only one TP roll upon arrival. One is better than none, but I do think it would have been nice to have at least two roles. Now, the bed mattresses - don't expect anything that is too comfy. The double bed mattress was pretty tough. EMMA mattress is not too expensive these days, and it could have made such a difference to sleep on a nice welcoming comfy mattress. The two other single bed mattresses were the complete opposite from tough. Almost too soft. The bathtub is a great feature to have although the water temperature kept changing. There was just handwash soap, no shampoo or shower soap for cleansing the body unfortunately, which to me is also quite basic. Upon arrival, the place was quite warm but during the night it got freezing cold. It would have been good to have the place warm throughout the night as well. My conclusion is that it's really very basic.not too fancy, nothing to write home about. It does have the potential though, just need to invest a little bit more on the important things.
