Warm and welcoming. Very Covid prepared. Staff excellent as always as is the food. Don't take any snacks as you won't need them. 30th Jan 2023...This the view of the huge cedar tree from my bedroom window. A cosy room. Noteworthy details: Higham hall is a residential house where creative courses take place, from a weekend to a full week. When I was there this time there was art, medieval illumination, a jazz masterclass and botanical drawing.

Higham Hall was sold to a newly established Trust In 2007 to be run as an independent learning centre for adults. The property is situated in several acres towards the northern end of the Lake District. Higham reportedly hosts around 3,000 residential and day students annually for a wide variety of courses lasting from half a day to up to a week.
