Ouse Bridge House

2nd time staying at this wonderful guest house. Just on the edge of Bassenthwaite water on a quiet country road. Bedrooms are quiet, and the beds are comfy. The breakfast is plentiful and delicious (conveniently ordered the previous day via email). The house has a sharable living room with an honesty bar, which we made good use of. Ben and Virginia are the most welcoming hosts, and it seems nothing is too much trouble. Not just dog friendly, but dogs incredibly welcome. We will definitely be returning.

We have just spent 3 brilliant days at the Ouse Bridge House, massive thank you to Ben, Virginia and their girls for making us feel so welcome. We stayed in a really lovely and very comfortable twin room with a lovely view of the lake and we had our own separate bathroom . The breakfast was brilliant, we pre ordered the day before which I think is such a good idea, I am gluten and dairy intolerant and I had so much choice so a massive thank you to them for that, definitely recommend the granola with berries. The beds were so comfortable, towels were lovely quality and we had dressing gowns to use. We had a good size smart TV and wash basin in the room. We had our dog Tillie with us she loved being there with the other dogs. The guest lounge was very homely and welcoming, very good idea to have an honesty bar and a fridge in there with different types of milks. We have stayed at a few bed and breakfasts and can definitely say this was the best, we will definitely be going back. Ben and Virginia very surprised you have only been doing B&B for the short time you have, you are doing everything right.

Cheerful " meet and greet" Top treatment and service. Rooms need a little bit more "polish" but I am sure that by out next likely visit all updates will have been concluded. Excellent deal and many thanks again!
