I booked to stay at the hawk and owl centres b &b with my elderly (although very mobile ) mother , to have some mother and daughter time as due to the pandemic we had not seen much of each other . The farmhouse is a place of peace, tranquility and cocoons you in warmth and friendliness . We had the most wonderful stay , the room was comfortable and welcoming . Quietness and beauty all around us. We strolled the lanes and paths , so much to see. We also had the absolutely thrilling British owl taster experience. Complete surprise for Mum and she has not stopped talking about it . Rod and Cathy are perfect hosts and we had the perfect stay. Thank you Rod, Cathy and team for all the care and kindness. Having written this a while ago - may I add how absolutely devastated we were to hear about the passing of Cathy . Such a wonderful and inspirational lady . We are so saddened for Rod . Also the sad news that the centre is now closing . What lovely people and lovely place , it has been a place of peace and tranquillity for many people to visit . Such a great loss in so many ways.

Grandson (11) and myself had a lovely time - I did not know there were so many very different types of owls. Such beautiful birds and obviously well cared for. After a tour of the enclosure and reading about each one, we went into the barn where we met each of four different owls who flew between us perching on our arm so we could get a really good look. They were all lovely but I think Shadow - a lovely grey owl specially stood out - but no, they were all so different I couldn't chose a favourite . An experience well worth the money and grandson had the added bonus of looking at the numerous horses and ponies as well. Thoroughly recommend.
