We like this place the food and coffee are always good. The service can be slow but the staff always try there best.

A lovely little cafe as we passed through Nottingham on a recent Saturday. Having read some other reviews, to add that the lunch menu starts serving at 12pm so there was a bit of a rush after. Make yourself comfortable and order a drink whilst you wait - why not embrace a bit of slow cafe culture time. I'd recommend the peaceful veranda outside. We were visited by a friendly robin as we waited for our food. Food was good with a few vegetarian options. The chips were particularly delicious. Herbal tea and the usual drinks on offer. Cakes look stupendous though we were too full to try them. The garden centre that the cafe's adjoined has lots to offer too. To mention cafe toilets usually seem like an afterthought for most places. The privacy and location of the clean single (gender segregated) toilets in the cafe outside area felt refreshing.

Good food but terrible service, 35min wait for food after 20 min wait queuing.

After waiting about 15 minutes after ordering for milkshake and cakes, we were disappointed to find the milkshakes were warm, not cold as expected. Brownie milkshake tasted very strong of coffee and was not very nice, and the cherry milkshake didn't really taste like cherry. The raspberry and white chocolate cake tasted overpoweringly of Rose Turkish Delight. The cherry scone was nice, however. I don't think we'll be in a rush back.
