Large car park where you PARK for FREE , other hospitals take note , needing treatment or advice shouldn't cost the motorist , we pay enough already to run our transport. Most of the clinics are on the ground floor and easy to find , the reception is just through the main entrance with helpful staff. Toilets on site , snack and drinks machines around the central waiting area. This is a cottage type hospital that's fairly new and was designed for local people to attend , instead of going to the big city hospitals, it is clean bright and a credit to the local NHS, It is well used and popular to the Selby District residents. This site is also home to Selby District Council officers , which is now part of the Behemoth North Yorkshire Council , let's hope it doesn't become ruined by power mad councillors.

I visited this hospital today 13.4.2023. I was in a long queue of people waiting for a walk in blood test and we were all sitting in the waiting area. Suddenly an alarm started with intermittent flashing lights. A lot of nurses of every rank appeared along with two doctors, all quickly walking to where the Receptionists were directing them which was down a corridor off the Reception area. Apparently someone had collapsed. Nurses brought a screen and the person was given medical help. I just want to say how impressed I was with the efficient way all staff stepped up and looked after someone having an unexpected medical emergency despite the little hospital not having a designated specialist A + E Emergency Unit. Too often people are quick to complain about medical treatment given or waiting times but the ream at this hospital have a well rehearsed plan if action when needed. It just shows what a brilliant team the hospital has when faced with an unexpected emergency. Well done!
