Visited here for the first time this evening as in the area. Only realised it was run by the same family as a pub local to where I live. This pub is just like The Railway Inn - fantastic from start to finish. Really like how both pubs have separate restaurant areas to the bar. With being a bank holiday is was extremely busy but during our visit the service and food were top notch. The waitress who's name I can't remember was very helpful me as I have a dairy allergy. She made nothing seem a problem and spoke with the chef to ensure my requirements were met through making alterations. I recommend this pub to everyone certainly won't be disappointed. I will certainly be back in the near future.

First time here. Went to see someone and decided to drop in . Glad we did had a lovely meal. Service was really good, not rushed but looked after. Staff were friendly and attentive not like some places, where they are on their phones or too busy talking. Would definitely go again.

Visited for the first time since change of ownership. Walked away extremely dissatisfied and disappointed. Table of 5, all meals were disappointing. Customer service was also shocking. Vegetable pizza covered in oil. Pork belly, dry and tough. They refused to accommodate a chicken wrap (on chefs orders) instead of chicken burger (Childs meal). When asked if could reconsider we were told they could but if only on spinach wrap (fine we understand chef has there menu to adhere to, we ordered something else). My pizza was absolutely dripping in oil. Pizza bases are not fresh (confirmed by waitress). I believe the pizza topping such as olives and sun friend tomatoes were the reason for the horrific amount of oil. Chef most likely spooned them out of jar carrying heaps of oil. Pizza was also supposed to have fresh rocket however chef put this on prior to cooking, which shrank rocket to the size of water cress, shrivelled up with no flavour. I wouldnt be surprised if chef is inexperienced in the world of cooking. An absolute terrible meal for which we travel 30mins for. We complained to waitress who didnt seem to care, no apology, she gave a response from chef on one query but didnt bother with the rest. After 20 mins of waiting for chefs response on my pizza, I gave up asking waitress to return meal and remove from bill. She said ok. Bill came, they removed 15% off of pizza only. I questioned this decision, and was told Id eaten half so they were charging such price, i explained that wasnt correct, and then was told they would settle bill and I should not return again. On top of this, we waited an hour for mains. Child meals came after 45 mins. Even though we requested all meals at same time. This place is absolutely appalling, I wouldnt eat here again they offered for free. Shocking customer service from both staff, management and chef. Avoid at all costs.
