Rude barman, despite booking Sunday lunch for a family celebration and offering to pre order as were a large party no Sunday lunch left. Uncompromising re dairy free options and no attempt made to adapt or confirm food would be dairy free. Barman didnt agree that a table had been booked in the bar area for us that is how we were greeted, he made his feelings known by not engaging with us, refusing to pass a menu and discussing the situation with other staff so we could hear. We regretted staying and only did because we were a large group. Put a real damper on the celebration, we would have stayed for the evening but felt very uncomfortable so we left without puddings, cocktails or the fizz. Pub must be very profitable if they are happy to treat customers this way and miss out on what we would have spent. I have raised this issue with the manager, he was going to get back to me but 3 weeks plus later and my text and email are unanswered. We will not return, plenty of other establishments in the area offering a warm welcome, local beers and good food. Dietary restrictions: Not taken seriously by the barman. Unwilling to adapt for dairy free . No one could or would confirm if meals had dairy in them
