We ate here 12 months ago and it was fantastic. This year it has completely changed. The hygiene was awful and the food eas very bad quality. Such a shame, I travelled 100 miles to come to Seahouses and was looking forward to eating at Neptune's. It takes a long time to build a good reputation, but they have destroyed it in one year.

The food was great, tad pricey. The service though justifies the price. My partner has very specific dietary restrictions and our experience is most restaurants are not very helpful. Here though they couldn't have been more accommodating. We were served by Claire who is an exemplary standard bearer of incredible customer service. Quite literally the best experience I've ever had in my lifetime from anywhere. She immediately understood my partner's requirements, thought of every possible solution to them and made it happen. Throughout she was amazing. Theres a reason the reviews mention her so often and the restaurant are very lucky to have her. Overall great food, greater staff. A delight.
