        Wast of time . Rarely open to the public. Can't phone them direct but have to go via a call centre

        The police station is not staffed 24/7; there is a phone system that gies through to central number that will put you back through to Seaham Police back office - eventually - if necessary. On the plus side: the vestibule containing the phone doubles as a "safe area" with doors that can be locked at the press of an emergency button. What a good idea!
