Outstanding is all i can say My Father went to Freshford for end of life care from the DGH. Dad was looked after as if He was the staffs own family Myself and My brothers cannot thank them enough Simply Superb in every way

My mother is a resident at Freshford Cottage which is a wonderful Home. The staff are fantastic and give her such a high standard of Care and treat her with such dignity. The food is excellent and mum enjoys her meals all the time not leaving anything! I cannot praise everyone enough. Kay does a marvellous job keeping the residents entertained with new ideas and making them feel special. Even though my mum is bedridden she is included in everything and never feels isolated and alone. Thanks to Jo and Kay 3 days a week I can chat to mum via wattsapp/video which is brilliant for both of us. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Freshford Cottage at all.

From Hazel, Daughter of resident Jean. This Home deserves an award for outstanding care and welfare of the residents. Throughout this pandemic the residents have been cared for so well and have had Activities almost on a daily basis. None of them have suffered Depression because their days have continued to be structured and fun. My mum has been downstairs doing all sorts from making Spring pictures to having a go at flipping Pancakes. Finlin must be singled out especially for the way she has handled this whole thing. . She locked the home down before anyone else and she was proved right to do so. She has kept the residents safe and more importantly she has kept my mum safe , happy and almost oblivious that anything was different. I honestly couldnt have got better care if my mum had gone Private. Finlin and the rest of the staff have gone far and beyond what is expected of them. They basically have saved my mums life and I will always be in their debt . If you want your relatives to be treated like they are part of a family then this is the place for them . Well done xx

My mum has been at freshford cottage for 15 months and she is extremely happy...the staff are always cheerful and nothing is too much trouble...she is actively encouraged to press her buzzer if she wants anything...she is checked on regularly and her needs are beyond met...the residents doors are always kept open so that they dont feel isolated and we can visit her anytime we like...even in the middle of the night if we wanted to...the food is good and there are activities going on in the lounge almost every afternoon...my mums personal care is second to none...i cannot commend this home enough...shes happy and content which gives us peace of mind...we know all the staff on first name basis ...my mums favourite is sam..lol...i am kept up to speed on everything regarding my mums health ...she has early dementia and is diabetic and they look after her dietry needs and medication very well...this is a brillaint home and finlin the homes manager is lovely and very approachable..
