No other person in the waiting room, was called within a couple of minutes and was satisfied with the adjustment made to my denture

Very dissatisfied with the service from Scunthorpe branch after having my appointment cancelled for a second time losing 2 days of my annual leave. This is simply not good enough and I won't be using this service again.

Visited twice quite recently, got an emergency appointment quite quickly which was convenient. Everyone who works here is very very passive, I explained how much pain I was in on several occasions to both receptionist and dentist yet not once was I offered medication/a prescription for pain relief till I asked over the phone, to which I was told I need to come in for that. I can understand this but visiting the dentist 3 days in a row is extremely impractical for anyone. During this same phone call, the receptionist (whose name I didnt get) hung up the phone while i was still talking for some reason. I called back instantly and she laughed and said she didnt realise I was still talking. Which had me slightly taken aback as im used to receptionists being polite and asking is there anything else I can help you with? before just saying bye and hanging up the phone. I was unsure whether this was a lack of receptionist training or just rudeness. Im aware and sympathetic of the working conditions and stress that accompany working within the healthcare system however this is no excuse for rudeness and poor service. Reply: The great service came from a 111 call handler who helped me get a convenient appointment. As when I spoke to your caring team at the reception they said they could not. Therefore I resorted to speaking to 111 instead, so personally I would give them the "really great service" credit rather than your team. You may think otherwise but that's your opinion. The dental pain has not gone. Hence why I called in today for a prescription for the pain, I would not call for no reason. I was referred to the hospital after an X-ray taken at my most recent appointment showed complications with my wisdom teeth. Which I'm quite surprised was not diagnosed at my appointment 24 months ago where I also complained of pain and had an X-ray taken, as wisdom teeth are visible on X-rays from the age of 12. So the pain I am currently experiencing could have been prevented, which also brings up questions of patient negligence. But seeing as though you're so quick to defend your team, I assume this wasn't their fault either! Perhaps if the receptionist asked "is there anything else I can help you with" then she wouldn't have to guess if there's someone still on the line. Regardless of this, I was literally talking when she hung up.
