I was sceptical of using WBAC. I'd always sold my cars privately, was comfortable doing so and was of the opinion "you get more money that way and WBAC can only be bottom-book price" But, after several good experiences by respected colleagues and friends, I had to part with a relatives car and decided to give it a go. Web site valuation is slick & quick and if you deliberate (like me) this can go up and down over a period of weeks due to the market. I took the plunge, with nothing to lose, and went equipped with the un-seen (as in not seen the vehicle) valuation and all my documentation. WBAC representative was very pleasant, non-pushy and genuine. He inspected the car, took some notes then gave me a valuation. Admittedly this was short of the un-seen valuation but allowed for dents and scrapes and one I was (surprisingly?) very happy with. Seems like the 'new way' to sell with the shortage of 2nd hand cars on the market driving the prices, it's better than tyre-kickers on your driveway and if nothing else, gives you a baseline figure to work with as a trade-in or private sale. If you're not happy you can just drive away, no stress. In summary, my experience was all good, I would use again (but wish I'd sold when the value went up, but that's my bad). I believe, depending on condition, the cars either go on to the BCA or WBAC are "in bed with" CINCH
