Paul was recommended to me by a friend of a friend. He sounded like a nice guy with BMW working history for 16 years. He talks with confidence. I had an automatic BMW with limping mode gear. Paul even before doing the diagnostics told me you need to change the gearbox oil. I bought him the necessary oil and spare parts. He changed the gear oil and told me keep your fingers crossed. This is a sign of uncertainty. I paid him 195 labour and 155 spare parts. A total of 350 to no avail. Next day same issue persisted. He told me he is going to consult the specialist in Huddersfield (Auto gear box). The expert told him the problem is not in the oil but you need to replace the Transmission range Switch sensor. I bought this piece of spare part for 228 from BMW. Up till now I have spent 578. Today he replaced the sensor and wanted to invoice me again. I told him I already paid you 195 and you did not sort out the problem. Why do you ask me to pay you again?. He lost his temper and shout take your car and leave my garage. I was surprised. In stead of saying I am sorry I messed you up and apologizing for the pain and hassle he put me through he was shouting as if he has done me a favour. He proved to be rude and impolite. He was not honest and not experienced as he claimed. He lacks fairness and courtesy at least with me. In short this encounter was so unpleasant that I do not advise any one to resort to him.
