Not impressed The staff are friendly and polite but the food is poor and the service slow I ordered a cheese and onion toasty and my partner had jacket potato with tuna mayo My toasty was ok not the best but acceptable The tuna mayo on the potato though was inedible As soon as it arrived it just did not look right It had a wet sheen and a slimy texture We never touched it The waitress did offer a refund As there are lots of cafes in Scarborough we will choose a different one next time

Stopped here after a walk around Scarborough for 2 drinks 1 latte and 1 hot chocolate with cream. Staff friendly enough. Can't comment on the food although others around us seemed to be served meals extremely quickly. 6.20 for 2 drinks not bad considering location.

Visited today. Ordered the Special: fish and chips, which was served quickly. Id hazard a guess that the fish was not fresh, cooked from frozen with a generic mass produced batter. The fish was oh so oily, the chips bland and dry, and the scolding hot peas rescued from their 5 minute spell in the microwave, zapping them of everything that makes a pea, a pea. The curry sauce had the consistency of dishwater and the aroma to match. It was such a disappointment, and I left feeling sad. I would have explained these sentiments to the staff, but they didnt ask. My advice to the cafe is to stop stocking up at Booker, and focus on the fish that is caught on your doorstep instead. Two stars. One for location, the other for the low prices.
