Took far too long to get a diagnosis when I was here. Eventual diagnosis was Social anxiety. Very poor attempt at diagnosing as it turns out years later after leaving here that Im autistic and have BPD! The workers that were meant to be helping me here hardly ever showed up and were off half the time on Holiday and Sick leave. Imagine going on multiple holidays when youre job is to help mentally ill children. This was MASSIVELY frequent, meaning I had random people covering my main workers all the time, completely reversing the recovery process and all the information discussed with my main workers in previous appointments. Extremely unprofessional group of staff. Got told I wasnt depressed because I was able to take a shower. Got told to cut contact with my own father. They got the police involved at one point after completely mishearing something I said in an appointment and this made my anxiety even worse. Eventually broke down into tears after an appointment that would be my very last because I wasnt getting the right help. Mum got me discharged from the service soon after my breakdown and found me better help with a more professional service (psychotherapy).
