What a refreshing change when you enter the main entrance to Eagle View, I went to a meeting to look around the care home for my mum who was possibly going to stay a while and as the look see wasnt arranged for any particular time it was impossible for staff to have prepared for the first impression I was to encounter. Here I was in a care home for the elderly and could not smell the offensive aroma of human urine that unfortunately residents and staff have to endure in many premises. After my mum has moved in and has settled, I can state this care home is staffed by a very caring team of professionals who do their various jobs with enthusiasm, Its clean and well furnished having been decorated in a style that's homely. Not a sterile looking establishment but a home from home, residents sit and chat to each other in various areas or in the large main reception and dining room. All have a choice to return to their private room to relax and read, watch TV or have an afternoon nap. Meals are not massive but are more than sufficient and varied to ensure residents are well fed. Drinks are offered all day long. Rooms are equipped with ensuite facilities, comfortable beds with fresh clean linen, tables chairs wardrobe, well lit and no flakey paint or years old wallpaper. Call buttons are available, as are floor mats which detect residents who maybe a little infirm are moving from their beds to the bathroom during day or night. Residents have a hairdresser and chiropodist available. Activities feature in their new life style perhaps not to the extent as to how they socialised in their younger days but they all seem content and happy. All in all Its warm, clean, well staffed with competent carers, and well organised by a very approachable management team. No real restrictions on visiting just try to avoid meal times. Easily a five star rating.

Got let in door no questions and just left there!! Had to go look for staff but 3 all stood together inc manager were ignorant and made it clear it was an inconvenience to look around. Bad 1st impession as elderly residents sat trying to eat in the main reception were left to struggle unaided all the time we were left waiting so food mustve been cold. Certainly wont recommend sending loved ones there
