Stayed here a couple of times without any issues. Third time well... we turned up to check-in. Door locked. Rang the bell, rang the number, rang his mobile it was turned off. We waited for 30 mins. After 30 mins we walked into town to perhaps give him a chance to open or at least answer his phone. Nothing! Left a voice message. He didn't respond. We went and booked in at a much more reliable Hotel. There was no apology or reason behind his absence/ignorance. Won't ever go back! In reply to Selbourne's. We were there last year, around Sept/October time and yes there is a bell there. Perhaps the bell doesn't work but there is a bell. And if it's not been opened for a couple of months how do you have recent reviews? Jamie was the guy who should have dealt with this issue

We stayed for one night on 26th October 2022. We could not fault it. The room was fantastic and very clean. Jamie on reception was very welcoming and very helpful. We would recommend any of our friends and family to stay at the Selbourne Hotel. Just ashame the kitchen was being refurbished. But that did not spoil our stay. We will definitely stay there again. Thank you Jamie for all your help. We look forward to seeing you again. From Linda, Peter and Rebecca Carr.
