As a parent of a pupil here, I can honestly say I'm disgusted in UTC. Attendance is an important factor granted, however it does not trump the health and safety of a pupil. If a pupil has been ill, and then feels well enough to attend school this should be praised that they have tried. If they deteriorate in the day you have a duty of care. Not an attitude problem because of attendance. No parent wants their child ill and not attending school. However it is paramount that I'm able to trust the school to do what is right especially the vice principal .The correct authorities will be contacted in due course.
