It's a slightly difficult place to find (agree with comments that some signage would help) but Jim gave a very interesting talk on the background to the brewery, the beers they brew and talked us through the brewing process and gave generous samples of their excellent beers. Recommended.

I visited this place back in March 2019 when I was doing a long distance walk inclusive of castle's and brewery's in various local locations. As the other the other review points out, this brewerys location is pretty subtle and as with many great brewery's (iv been to a few now) out of town slightly. When we walked in it was a very discerning and stern first impression, especially as we clearly wasn't local. However this did not last, as soon as we approached the bar, a local started talking to us making us feel very welcome. It wasn't long before we started talking to the barman who was also the brewer, he was a very welcoming person accomadating any needs I had (request for beer mat) and even offering to drop us to the hotel at the end of our night. Considering the fact that the beer is still produced in the cellar, of good quality and the experience this place provides it is very good value (cheaper than most brewerys and not commercialised at all) I can't recommend this place enough And will definitely visit again given the opportunity

Google maps find this place but it's not easy. I walked past it as there are no visible signs (please put up a sign at the head of the alleyway). Turn left as you see the Desapline academy. I was given a friendly welcome. They don't have a shop as such yet but you can buy some of their beers there. I wish them every success.
