        Went in and asked to speak to someone about mortgages. Bizarrely was told that there is no one in branch who can do that and I would have to phone a number. NOT acceptable. As no rapport can be established over the phone I made it clear I wasn't happy and walked. And I have had savings deposited with Halifax for about 40 years.
