Our first night in the Dales. We arrived without reservation on a Friday evening however the owner and hostess welcomed us and made us feel like a local, offering advice and guidance on things to see and do whilst in the Dales. Food was great. Portions are hearty - different from our usual London sizes. Highly recommend the fish and chips. Will be back.

A great place with great food .Very large portion no cut back on size or quality. Staff go out of their way to please , totally attentive . Cannot fault .The place is lovely and has a beer garden separate rooms to eat and a conservatory ..I believe they have cottages too .In a lovely area worth a visit..We had booked for 6 unfortunately the chef had rang in sick that morning We were contacted and were offered a later table as they had arranged the evening chef to come early..How they turned this around catered for everyone and still offering the top quality service ..l have to mention the cleanliness that was without doubt a continuation of their service the cutlery was presented in serviettes , not put on to table .Thank you to everyone for going that little step further..
