My son and I stayed here 14-18 August 2013. Bernadette & Ray were warm and effusive in their welcome. We were pleased to find a young couple at breakfast who'd come for a lesson at SW Surf School so we were not alone and had someone to talk to about our pre-lesson nerves (weather/waves/seaweed/jellyfish). Roy is a golfer and suspects that Norboro was once owned by a professional golfer. It overlooks Saunton Golf course which is an eerie mixture of sand and grass - almost prehistoric in appearance. The Guest House is classic and comfortable and we would not hesitate to recommend it to friends. We were allowed to keep our bicycles in the roomy garage and preferred to walk along the Tarka Trail and coastal path, apart from when arriving and leaving and on the last evening catching a coule of buses back from Barnstaple.
