Just shaking my head at some of the input below. I didn't realise that caravan sites were responsible for the strength of the signal from mobile network providers. I foolishly assumed it was due to poor provision by the mobile networks themselves, neglecting areas less densely populated. My parents stayed at this caravan park every year and had only good things to say. They always mentioned the warm welcome they recieved from Alan & Marilyn (apologies if i got the names wrong) If you are looking for campsite discos, club 18-30 and swimming pools, then you are going to be disappointed. However, the smallest amount of research will reveal that Snapdown offers a more sedate holiday experience. Adjectives such as tranquil, peaceful and idyllic are suitable. As for the complainers, asking for their deposit back, i would keep it because Snapdown were unable to rent the caravan to other parties. That's what a deposit is. It was their choice to leave and not seek resolution at the time.

Have just had a wonderfully peaceful week at Snapdown Farm. The caravan was clean and well equiped with a gas fire for chilly evenings. Bill, the host, was there if needed, but was never obtrusive. There is wildlife a plenty in the fields and glades round Snapdown, but a short drive will take you to some excellent restaurants and lively seaside resorts. A perfect break at a very reasonable price.

When they say very reasonably priced that they are. Previously staed in a luxury, this time in a standard. Both equally nice to stay in. Out of the area if you want a very peaceful holiday or don't mind travelling via car. No bus routes. Sat navs will take you on longer routes to get there and easy to miss but all instructions are sent to you after booking. (I can also provide a guided route) Onside there are benches outside your caravan, washing machine and tumble dryer available on coin operation. Also very reasonably priced. Farm visits one day of the week onside for the little ones, play area and table tennis (take your bats and balls) Parking next to caravan Owners extremely friendly and leave you to your devices. Also on hand if you need help or any knowledge of the area. Great info pack supplied including routes of walks. Highly recommended place to stay. (Personally it was nice to get away for adventures and a break from my phone. Very little signal except in certain areas and certain times of day. Bonded more with the older kids and in a standard we did well with charging any electronics through one available plug...this isn't a negative, its a great way to get away from screen time)
